Volt is immediately hiring an Engineer/Technical Buyer in Brownsville, TX, Bastrop, TX, or Hawthorne, CA.

As an Engineer/Techncial Buyer you will:

- Use your engineering background to understand engineering drawings, machining, and metal fabrication to be able to identify procurement needs

- Issue purchase orders quickly and without error Ensure purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliersProcess improvement experience is a plus Obtain the original promise date from suppliersReview open order report and manage deliveries

This is a full time, contingent opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

--- Bachelor's degree, Engineering or Techncial degree is a PLUS!

--- Purchasing, sourcing, and planning experience

--- Remarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speed

--- Strong technical knowledge of MS Office Suite

--- Ability to conduct all activities with the highest degree of integrity

--- Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment

Pay Rate: $35/hour- $65/hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
